The RICS launched the new rules of Measurement at their London Headquarters.

The New Rules of Measurement will be published over the next two years and comprise three sections:

• Order of Cost Estimating and Elemental Cost Planning
• Works Procurement
• Post Completion Procurement

The Rules of Order of Cost Estimating and Elemental Cost Planning are entirely new and are the first of the three elements to be published.
